For 12 MICE agents from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, Ria Mooijaart & Partners organized an off-the-beaten track Inspirational Trip in collaboration with Negina & Shoista from Afsona Travel DMC in Uzbekistan. The participants were all from the travel industry and did not know what to expect.
Uzbekistan, a bit unknown and even mysterious, is the oldest country in Central Asia. It has a fast economic growth and is focusing on developing tourism.
Uzbekistan Trip
We discovered the Great Silk Road that runs through Uzbekistan. During our stay we could almost picture the long trail of caravans winding their way through the ancient cities and the vast desert sands. It was time to discover the heritage of the Silk Road with its hundreds of palaces, mosques and mausoleums, dazzling bazaars and ancient fortresses.
Upon arrival in the capital (Tashkent) we were very surprised to discover lots of parks and green spaces. The guide of Afsona Travel DMC and all Uzbek people we encountered very warmly welcomed us. A welcoming smile is known to be standard in Uzbekistan.
Tashkent holds different hotels with international standards, interesting museums and monuments. The rest of the country offers beautiful scenery from stunning mountain areas to lakes and fascinating deserts.
